Application Process
Just like all the other schools, application process starts by checking and passing all the required papers such as your NMAT, TOR and letter of recommendations (at least 2 if I’m not mistaken) from your college professors. After is the assessment proper wherein there will be series of questions needed to be answered in essay form(in my time but currently, I think they implemented a comprehensive examination for the incoming freshmen in the college of medicine). Followed by the interview proper which is facilitated by one of the three interviewers (doctors) assigned during that day including the Dean.
Tuition Fee
UNP is one of the state universities (government/public) in the country offering a medicine course with tuition fee that ranges from 30 to 35 but not exceeding 40 thousand pesos (excluding other fees such as the miscellaneous).

You must acquire at least 40 percentile score.

What is it like in your school? The culture, socials
The school is relatively pleasant both in living and in learning aspect. One of the character that would challenge the aspiring doctors is the hot climate. UNP is also rich in culture in a sense that both internationals and locals are present. Filipino students are also diverse coming from different parts of the country. Despite these differences, the school encourages students to be socially active through different programs such as acquaintance party that would enable different race, culture and differences collide (in a positive way. Hehe).
Whats the system of teaching in your school, your school’s forte. What’s unique in your school
The school conducts both traditional and mostly problem based learning. In problem based learning, the students are given a chance first to talk and tackle a certain topics within a group and then present or report it. The tutor on the otherhand supplements and guides the students towards the learning objective that was created by him or her.
What do you like most about your school?
Approachable and passionate doctors are the best words that I would describe and at the same time I like about the school
How is the lifestyle in your school? Food, utilities, accebility of transportation
Life in Vigan especially in UNP is not to complicated. unlike in other cities. Foods are delicious and very much student friendly when. in terms of pricing. Utilities however is not that good but still can provide what you need. In terms of transportation, there are a lot of modalities like Kalesa, tricycle and taxis.
How bearable is your med school?
Med school is tough. It repeatedly breaks you (physically, emotianally, spiritually, etc.) but at the same time it molds you into a good doctor and equips you with the right character and attitude that emphasizes empathy and in fulfilling ones duty.
Do you regret choosing your school?
