So I said yes!
The choices we make become a part of who we are. Some decisions become regrets, some become the very thing that changed our life. Sometimes, what changes our life isn't coming from a big solid decision, rather a constellation of yes's and no's we've made ever since. Let's go back to that very first time we chose a white dress over a blue one, to the moment we chose who our friends are going to be, down to the decision over what matters more to who we really are. The small decisions you make are little blocks of character that make up, you.
While that thought lingered, I started to notice the little things I say yes to. Most of all, the things I decided not to happen in my life.
So I said yes!
I said yes to this blog and decided to commit myself to writing about my story always yet to happen. The behind the medicine (behind the scene!) story I chose for myself. I knew there's so much more to people in the medical journey than studying and suffering and all together making up a future that they see themselves happy in. They say that life is the journey so we celebrate it. We find people to travel with, and then some just stop traveling with you. We make dreams along the way - some dreams come true, some dreams just never saw the light of day. Most of all, we learn who we are through it all. We learn to make ourselves at peace, we learn our limits, and we learn to be a part of a bigger cause than ourselves.
This blog really is, in its selfish ways, a personal draft of my thoughts and experiences, and my thoughts on those experiences. The bigger cause is to inspire people, hopefully, in their own path, to guide those who are lost, and to have someone to travel with you (because I'll be gladly walking along you too!).
Life has always been inspiring when seen in foresight, but most of the interesting parts come from looking at it in hindsight.
When you make a choice, you always make a difference. When you make a choice, make sure you want the difference to happen in your favor.
You're most welcome here!
Love, Camille
