Bird and the Ocean: A Love Story of good byes
When it rained, they said I am oceans deep
They said, I gave home to creatures, mermaids existed
When they said I were ocean deep, no one dared to reach the bed
Swimming in shallows, then they fled.
When it rained, they said I am oceans deep
No one dared in faith to leap.
Ocean's lonely, never in pair
Big spread of blue, "together" was rare.
There you were, a lost bird in the ocean's surface, trying to survive
Finding a place to stay alive
When it rained, the bird was on oceans deep
in love and in the sand,
Bird said, in this ocean he found a home,
Home said, in this ocean someone tried.
When it rained, they were oceans deep
in love and in the sand
Bird said oceans are deep,
Ocean said, "I am not a home."
To the shallows they can only meet,
with waves of memory only to keep
A bird only on the shore,
and crisps of blue only on the ocean floor
A bird can only be a bird,
and the ocean is just the ocean deep
With love they found only in the shallow
With nothing but love, they can never follow
One day when the ocean learns to not be blue,
One day when the bird knows what to do,
The ocean deep can be his home,
The bird can fly, be her dome.
But today, the ocean is not a home,
The bird has to go, make his own abode.
If their love is kept, meant love will die,
Then the ocean and the bird, must say good bye.
